Notification

 

To: Regional Head of Customs and Head of Border Customs Checkpoints across the country.

Subject: ban the import of fireworks and other explosive materials.

 

- Pursuant to Article 15 of the Customs Law No.05/NA, dated 20 May 2005;

- Pursuant to the Order on increasing the work of preventing and resolving the phenomenon of social barriers, No.27/PM, dated 05 October 2011;

- Pursuant to the Vientiane Capital Governor letter, No.191/VTE, dated 11 April 2012.

- Pursuant to the guidance of the Acting Minister of Finance, dated 20 April 2012.  

 

    In preventing the smuggling of a large number of prohibited goods to be sold in the market, as well as to solve the phenomenon of discouragement in society to have peace and security.

 

   The Department of Customs would like to inform the Head of the regional customs, and the head of the border customs checkpoints, across the country, in instructing the Customs Border Authorities to strictly inspect the prohibited goods, in order to limit all forms of smuggling into the country, in particular, Vientiane Capital, such as fireworks and various types of explosives. If the import of such goods is found to be prosecuted in accordance with the rules and regulations.

 

   Please be informed accordingly and implement strictly.
