Dear: Director General of the Department of Import and Export, Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

Subject: Implementation of the 2022 AHTN.

 

- According to the Minister of Finance’s Decision on the Organization and Operation of the Department of Customs, No. 2059/MOF, dated 29 April 2021;

- According to the Decree on the Approval and Promulgation of the ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature 2022 (AHTN 2022), No. 91/PM, dated 16 January 2023;  

- According to the Minister of Finance’s Notification on the implementation of the ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature 2022 (AHTN 2022), No. 0637/MOF, dated 01 March 2023.

 

After the Government of the Lao PDR and the Ministry of Finance have issued a decree and notification, the Department of Customs has completed the ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature 2022 (AHTN 2022) as the following tasks:

1. Completed the dissemination of the Promulgation of the Product Declaration and Tariffs to the customs officials, related government agencies, entrepreneurs, and related parties at the 04 provinces in the Central Region such as Vientiane Capital, Vientiane Province, Bolikhamxay Province, and Khammouan Province;

2. Completed the official notification to the ASEAN Secretariat on the announcement of the implementation of the AHTN;

3. Completed uploading the 2022 AHN 2022 product catalog to the ASYCUDA system and implemented from 17 April 2023 onwards, across the country.

 

Please be informed accordingly to the relevant parties to have access to the information from www.laotradeportal.gov.la.

 

Therefore, this notification is to inform accordingly for more information and consideration.
